Description
Its name is inspired by the Carthusian monks who, between 1598 and 2019, practiced a solitary life of prayer at the Cartuxa Monastery, in Évora, property of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. As a way of reviving one of the traditional ways of producing wines at Adega Cartuxa, located at Quinta de Valbom, where quality wines have been produced for more than two centuries, the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation presents this red wine made in old clay pots, from the Alicante Bouschet variety.
