Produced by Anatolio Ramirez in a palenque that is a 20-minute hike from the nearest dirt road, this batch of cultivated Mexicanito (A. Rhodacantha) comes from San Jose Rio Minas, located in the Mixteca Alta region of Oaxaca. This perfumed and cerebral spirit was distilled in a hybrid clay-pot and stainless steel still that is typical in the region. The label image pays homage to the donkey that carried the finished mezcal from the palenque to the nearest road for transport.
