Description
Clear and bright in golden color, the Favaito Moscatel do Douro flows into the glass and exudes the typical aromas of the Moscatel grape - citrus fruits such as orange, tangerine and lime, along with bitter notes typical of aperitifs. On the palate it is fresh, sweet and fruity with a velvety finish.
Treatment in the cellar
After harvesting, the grapes are lightly crushed and left on the skins for two days during fermentation at a controlled temperature between 23° and 25°C. Fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy, resulting in a wine with high alcohol and residual sugar content. The wine matures for another three years in stainless steel tanks before release.
