Appearance: Deep brown with tawny-amber hues. Slightly viscous.
-
Nose: Strong herbal and bitter character immediately present. Notes of mint (fresh and slightly medicinal), menthol and eucalyptus. Root-y aromas (gentian, rhubarb), dark herbs, camomile, and citrus zest show through. A faint touch of licorice and bitter chocolate.
-
Palate: Intensely bitter, layered with herbal complexity. Mint and fresh cooling herbs dominate early — followed by earthy roots, bitter orange peel, gentian and rhubarb. Slight warmth from spices, maybe a hint of saffron or wood/tea bark. The texture is bold and somewhat sharp.
-
Finish: Long and persistent — bitter herbal tones linger, with cooling menthol / mint fading slowly. The aftertaste leans dry, with citrus peel and root bitterness lingering in the throat.
