Description
Nestled on the rugged Isle of Skye, Talisker 10 Year Old carries the wild maritime character of the Atlantic in every drop. Born in 1830, it's a whisky shaped by crashing waves, salty spray, and fierce coastal winds. Encased in its recognizable dimpled bottle, this expression is the flagship dram of Talisker, a bold gateway to the smoky, peppery soul of the Highlands.
Tasting Profile:
Nose: Like breathing in sea air over a crackling peat fire, coastal smoke mingles with salty minerals, charred wood, and a dragging ember of black pepper. Beneath it lies honeyed malt, fresh seaweed, and a distant sprinkle of citrus zest.
Palate: Layered and spicy, maritime smoke rides over waves of sweet barley and rugged black pepper. There’s an undercurrent of orange peel, soft toffee, and ash, with a warming oiliness that fills the mouth.
Finish: Long, warming, and smoky. The pepper heat fades slowly into a lingering glaze of salted caramel, dried fruit, and lingering sea spray.
