Description
“Winter Wheat” is the first Wheated Bourbon from Wheel Horse. The whiskey was distilled from a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% winter wheat and 9% malted barley. 12 hand-selected barrels were batched and then rested in secondary Bourbon barrels before being blended and bottled.
The whiskey displays aromas of vanilla pudding and doughnut. Lively flavors of orange zest and butterscotch come to the palate, revealing notes of cherry and toffee. The finish is long with hints of caramel, cherry danish and toasted pecans.
